Enough is Enough!

I think by now, we all should have had enough of Davido and Wizkid. These artistes are clearly very high and influential in the music industry but does that mean they should act childish all the time?

In a way I feel like we all caused this rift why, they never had anything against each other but since we felt they are both young and came out almost at the same time, we should set them up against one another and these artistes decided to take it to heart. Meanwhile, they didn’t even start music at the same time.

Blogs and social media kept on promoting this rift. Even shows, media houses and presenters kept pushing it by asking them questions on why they aren’t close, or if what wizkid or davido tweeted or said related to the parties. This is actually not okay. These guys legit try to settle things but one thing always lead to another and the beef starts again.  I feel the day they tweet something slanderous at each other and we don’t say anything that is when all this we end.

How sure are we that all this things aren’t even planned? Let’s think a bit, every time their beef started was at strategic periods. Its either Davido wants to drop a song or Wiz. This beef actually started when Davido wanted to drop his debut album. I know you might say Davido’s always starting it but no. If you doubt that this beef are not planned here are proofs.

            1.       This beef actually started when Davido was about to drop his debut album and if the beef wasn’t to promote davido’s album and it was just that wiz didn’t just like Davido, why was he in the video of Damiduro?

      

      2.       If it wasn’t strategic again, why did they reconcile after the album drooped and were even featured on a Dotstar song titled ‘Expensive remix’?

      

      3.       Wizkid only released African Bad gyal on ‘Sounds From The Other side’ the day he L.P dropped. The other songs like ‘Daddy Yo’, ‘Sweet Love’ and ‘Come Closer’ were released since. Why didn’t Davido say anything about the songs or about them being a stupid sound and not the Nigerian sound until wizkid Dropped the L.P?

          

       4.       I know some of you might be like Davido didn’t say anything about the songs because wizkid hasn’t released the E.P yet but think of it, Davido was even bumping to ‘Daddy Yo’ in the club one time like that and different songs from wizkid, why didn’t he say his sounds were stupid then?

      

      Sometimes I like to think that they call each other up and just be like “yo we need to support ourselves and promote this music. Oya let the shades begin”

Other times, I feel like there is a chess board and we are the puns on it.

Just in case you still have doubts, here’s my last point that all this noise and shades is just for PR:

•  Davido never replied wizkid’s shade on twitter about him being local and Wizkid threw his shades on Twitter. He waited to say it on Olamide’s new song, ‘Summer Body’ where he replied that he has Passport and Wiz doesn’t. And guess what, that response and PR actually worked because right now, Summer Body is number 3 on iTunes chart. They knew everybody will want to know Davido’s response and so they will download the song.

I think we all should just stop supporting this negativity and beef, be neutral and ignore them. Yes the shades are hot and spicy but still please let’s ignore it. I mean these two artistes have money, they both represent Africa internationally. It doesn’t matter if one is representing better than the other what matters is that they both make Good music. They didn’t come to this world together and didn’t also start music at the same time.  I mean there are other artistes close to their level but we never compare them to other artistes. Why must it always be Wiz and Davido every time?

I personally think that if we don’t respond to their beefs and all, they will stop all these beef so please let’s just try to enjoy the good music they give us and leave the negativity aside. Thank You.
